Dual Hookshot System for Unity
A downloadable asset pack for Windows
Hello people. This is the dual hookshot/grappling hook system I made for Theanthria.
You can customize the keys for shooting each one of the hooks, as well as the reel key.
You can also customize parameters like minimum reel spring (say, 0 in case you want to just swing with no pull), hook distance, reeling speed, etc.
You will need:
2 game objects that will serve as the tips of the guns.
2 line renderers (one for each of the hooks' wires/ropes)
Player game object and the player Camera.
A crosshair to indicate when hookshotable objects are in range.
In the "hookable layer" field, add the layer of all the objects you want to be hookable. These objects need to have colliders!
I included a small scene as reference with a simple movement and camera control, as well as the script hook shot script, but this should work with any rigid-body-based 3D movement system, as long as there are no constraints that limit movement.
Modify it as you wish for any purposes.
