Shopping and Decorating...
There's finally a point to the game!
These past days I've been focusing on creating a Shopping System, an Inventory, and a Decoration System. There's now a small shop in the world in which you can buy items to decorate your house or just throw around! So far there's few, but I'll work on implementing more and more fun items. Also I'll be fixing the new bugs that popup.

Is fascinating how slowly but steadily the game approaches the original vision that I had for it. But I'd still say the development is painfully slow. At least now I can present you an actual gameplay loop. Which is, go on deliveries to earn money, buy stuff, and decorate your small house! I've had fun just throwing the soccer ball around from high places and chasing it :v
Still, the game feels hollow and pointless. And overall, it just doesn't look good...
Regardless, there is 3 major systems I still need to implement:
- NPC interaction: Talking to randomly generated furry girl characters that are walking around the city. I already have an Appearance Randomizer script that I wrote and was fairly satisfied with, but now I want to make it with a better model. Also randomizing heads and faces for more diverse anthros (avian, reptile, etc..), along with the feet (or paws, I suppose). This is to give each player a unique experience and feel.
- Character Customization System: There's already a very rudimentary approach to this in the game, but I want to make it resemble other games. That is, have different clothes and helmets for the player character. This doesn't sound that complicated, but is the hardest thing I've attempted, at least with the approaches I've tried so far. I'm still looking for a good method of implementing different clothes to the same character model without having to model and weight paint every single mesh or re-parent each bone of the clothes' armature to the player's.
- Actual story progression system: you need to earn money and do errands for the different characters you'll find. This last part is particularly slow since it requires doing the character design, 3d models of the respective girl, rigging, animating, writing dialogue, integrating the character to the game and program the logic for the sequence.
All of this is perfectly doable, but since I'm alone in this project, progress is and will continue to be slow.

If I had to summarize my overall feelings, I'd say confident and very tired...
